35-year-old Colville murder suspect arrested close to Canadian border

Jan. 28—Authorities arrested a 35-year-old man who they allege was the first suspect in a murder Saturday in Colville.

Stevens County Sheriff’s deputies and U.S. Border Patrol brokers took Ryan Van Pelt into custody round 4:45 p.m. Saturday on Johnson Grade Street close to State Route 25, about 12 miles from the Canadian border, in accordance with a Stevens County Sheriff’s Workplace Fb put up.
