Anderson firefighter arrested on 2 felony battery expenses

Jan. 31—ANDERSON — A member of the Anderson Hearth Division has been arrested on two felony expenses involving the battery of his girlfriend.

Tyler Lengthy, 31, 3600 block of West Cross Road, was arrested by the Madison County Sheriff’s Division on Sunday on expenses of felony confinement leading to average bodily damage and home battery leading to average bodily damage.

Lengthy was launched from the Madison County Jail after posting a $25,000 bond.

He has been a member of AFD since 2018.

Anderson Hearth Chief Dave Cravens stated Tuesday that Lengthy has been positioned on administrative go away and has not returned to work since his arrest.

Cravens will ask the Anderson Board of Public Security to proceed Lengthy’s administrative go away with out pay till the pending felony case concludes.
