Google was a prominent automotive company at CES 2023

Google has used CES to present its products in recent years. vision of “Better Together” — the idea that all devices should play nice with each other. This usually means that it announces features such as Fast Pair and expanding Cast compatibility for third-party products. The company stated that it was exhibiting at CES 2023. working with Spotify to integrate The Android UI now integrates the Connect streaming service. It teased the possibility of audio handoff, where different devices could be suggested depending on your location and habits.

CES is a major car show. Google has products for automobiles. It also announced today that the Polestar 3 will feature higher-resolution mapping and it showed the public the new Android Auto interface for the first times since its announcement at I/O 222.

There were two vehicles at the Google booth at the Las Vegas Convention Center’s trailer lot — a BMW i7 with the new Android Auto experience and a Volvo EX90 with Google built in. This was our first time seeing the Volvo. We’ll be posting a separate hands on about our experience with it. This story and video will be about the. new Android Auto.

As we saw at I/O, this interface will adjust to bigger screens and have a split screen layout. Google removed the status bar, placed indicator icons in the small square to top left and added a row with shortcut keys below. The Spotify app was located on the left side of the car. We could swipe to the right to pull up a list with suggested playlists.

This window serves as a place to keep any notifications that you don’t have the time or ability to handle during your drive. If you receive a notification, you can tap on it to send it directly to the dock. The dock will keep it there until you are ready.
