Baylor leaves Oklahoma St. for the dark in 74–58 win

WACO, Texas (AP) — LJ Cryer scored 16 points with four 3-pointers and Baylor ended a three-game skid beating Oklahoma State 74-58 on Saturday.

The Bears have won 12 out of 16 games against Oklahoma State. Three consecutive losses have been suffered by the Cowboys.

Baylor had the Cowboys mostly in darkness before Farrell Center’s 20-minute power outage in the second period stopped play.

Baylor (13-5, 2-3 Big 12), took a 13-0 lead through a pair LJ Croyer and Jalen Bridges 3-pointers. Oklahoma State did not score until Avery Anderson III made an assist just four-and-a half minutes into the game.

The Cowboys (11-8, 1-4) turned the tables and used a 13-1 win to cut their deficit to 17-15. Reserve Caleb Asberry hit a 3 with 10 minutes remaining before intermission. Baylor won the half-time match and outscored Oklahoma State 22-8 prior to intermission. At halftime, it led 39-23.

Bridges and Flo Thamba scored 12 each, while Adam Flagler scored 11. This allowed Baylor to achieve double-digit scoring in 17 consecutive games.

Anderson scored 11 points for the Cowboys, while Asberry had 14 points.

Oklahoma State hosts Oklahoma on Wednesday. Baylor will travel to Texas Tech Tuesday.
