Bettors back the Bengals heavily as 5.5-point underdogs against the BIlls

Bettors like the Cincinnati Bengals’ chances of covering in Buffalo on Sunday.

The Bengals are currently the favorite team to cover the spread in the divisional round. Cincinnati opened as a underdog of 3.5 points to the Bills. now a 5.5-point dog at BetMGM Despite placing 64% of bets on the spread and 55% on the money, they were unsuccessful.

The line for the Bengals and Bills has made a lot of moves too. Cincinnati was a 4.5 point underdog after the line moved from 5.5 to 4.5 and then back to 4.5 on Tuesday. After dropping back to four on Wednesday, the line moved back up to 5.5 on Friday. Given all that line movement, we won’t be surprised if the line moves again before the game on Sunday. If you’re looking for a better number to bet the Bills, you may be in luck if you want to wait until closer to kickoff.

This weekend’s reverse trend is evident in three games, including the one in Buffalo. The spread usually tracks with the money. Spreads are adjusted to assist the other team when a team receives a larger share of the handle.

But that hasn’t happened in Kansas City or San Francisco. The Chiefs opened as 9.5 point favorites over the Jaguars. Now they are 8.5 point favorites despite winning 65% of bets against the spread and 79% of the money. After opening at 4.5, the Cowboys are now 4-point underdogs against the 49ers. They are receiving just 31% and 38% respectively of all bets. Perhaps the oddsmakers are trying to keep the Cowboys from getting too many bets. Dallas is a team that is often heavily bet on.

Despite the line being at 7.5, 75% of the handle for the Giants against the Eagles is now in their favor. It’d reason the spread would drop to seven or so given all the bets on the Giants, but it’s held fast as bettors are convinced the Giants can cover.

Two totals go up, two totals go down

Philadelphia is the most dominant point total, with 73% of bets on the over and 91% on the money. The total for this game opened at 46.5 and is currently at 48.

The number has increased 1.5 points in KC from 53 to 53. This is because 52% of all bets and 51% money are now on the under. There’s a chance for some snow during the game on Saturday afternoon, though it’s not supposed to amount to much at Arrowhead Stadium.

The total dropped by a full percentage in Buffalo because bettors love the over. Over 70% of money and nearly 80% on bets are on the over. The snowstorm is predicted to hit Sunday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. ET game.

Cowboys & 49ers are the games with the most movement on the total. With 46 bets, two-thirds of them on the over, and 46.5 opening, the total is now at 46.
