In Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, blasts were heard

(Reuters) – Two witnesses from Reuters said explosions were heard in Kyiv on Wednesday morning.

Although there was no immediate confirmation of the blasts by the authorities, maps from emergency services showed that the capital and its surrounding areas had been alerted for air raid sirens for approximately 20 minutes prior to the explosions.

Oleksiy Kuleba the governor of Kyiv’s Region, stated that air defense systems are in operation.
