Blinken thanked Turkey for their work on the Black Sea grain initiative

WASHINGTON (Reuters), – U.S. Secretary Antony Blinken called Mevlut Cavusoglu, Turkish Foreign Minister, on Thursday to thank Ankara for its efforts to continue UN-brokered Black Sea grain initiatives, the State Department stated.

The State Department stated that the two diplomat leaders stressed the importance NATO unity in supporting Ukraine’s defense against Russian invasion. Blinken, however, expressed concern about the current situation in Syria.
