Al Horford’s It was a brief moment of frustration Friday night that proved costly.

The NBA has fined you Boston Celtics Big man: $25,000 for “making unnecessary contact” with the lower body Orlando Magic Mo Wagner, a big man, in Friday’s match at TD Garden.

Early in the third quarter, Horford gave Wagner a elbow. Boston’s 117-109 lossFlagrant 2 foul was emitted immediately and the veteran big man was immediately ejected.

Jayson Tatum Horford was defended by Wagner after the game. Wagner claimed that Horford didn’t deserve to be ejected and that Horford had been hit first.

Tatum stated to reporters that it was “incredible.” “I couldn’t believe Al got thrown out of the game. I didn’t think that was warranted, especially once they went to go review and they saw that Mo fouled him first. That’s why I got to shoot free throws.

“So I mean, sometimes guy get tired of people grabbing on him and the ref not seeing it, so s—, as a grown man, you take it into his own hands and get somebody up off of you, and that’s all he did: just got him up off him because he was getting fouled.”

Clearly, the officials didn’t see it this way. However, Horford’s fine indicates that the NBA supports their decision.

Sunday, February 3, 2013, at 3:30 pm, the Magic and Celtics will be back in action. ET, and Tatum will miss the contest due to personal reasons.
