Chamblee in Georgia, December 13, 2022 (GLOBE NewSWIRE) — Chamblee is undergoing a digital transition. Chamblee officials have been seeking to improve efficiency in municipal operations and constituent service. Recently, the city partnered with GovPilotNew Jersey-based provider of cloud-based software for government management.

Chamblee officials are working with GovPilot in order to provide a variety of digital services to improve efficiency and make it easier for constituents. GovPilot is being used by officials for business registrations.

The city has deployed GovPilot’s Report-a-Concern feature which enables residents to report non-emergency concerns such as potholes, overgrowth, or general code violations directly via a digital form on the city’s website, or through an app on their phone, called GovAlert. It is available for residents on Android or iOS and allows citizens to report their concerns directly to the appropriate municipal department to resolve the matter quickly.

Mayor Brian Mock said, “I encourage residents to download the GovAlert app on their phones and help us improve Chamblee by reporting issues that they come across so we can address them quickly. Digital government and an easy constituent experience are crucial to delivering cost-effective public safety and services. By partnering with GovPilot we aim to be more responsive to and transparent with our residents.”

The mayor added, “The GovAlert app will make it possible to accept, track, and resolve citizen-reported non-emergency issues quickly and with full transparency to the public.”

Michael Bonner, the founder and CEO of GovPilot said, “We are excited to work with Chamblee on its early stages of digital transformation. Local governments have been encouraged to use federal funding from the American Rescue Plan Act to develop digital services and operations. Through our partnership with local governments around the country, we discovered that digital processes can significantly increase efficiency and productivity, which has a positive impact upon local budgets, local services, and the constituent experience. We expect to see similar results in Chamblee.”
