Chris Metzen Returns as Blizzard’s Creative Advisor

Chris Metzen will be back at work after a six year absence. Blizzard Entertainment As the creative advisor World of Warcraft franchise.

Metzen was a senior vice president of franchise development and lore at Blizzard for over 20 years before he retired in 2016. Metzen was also involved in voice acting, creative direction and artwork, as well as story writing for other major titles like Diablo, Overwatch, StarCraftFind out more.

The news was confirmed over Twitter by John Hight, Warcraft’s general manager, where he highlighted that “Chris [Metzen]’s focus initially will be on World of WarcraftMetzen’s work will then expand to other projects in this expanding franchise. Hight also noted Metzen’s previous involvement in the franchise as he was “one of the original team members working on the Warcraft universe back when it began in 1994.”
