County releases audio of heated Jan. 10 assembly

Jan. 27—In response to an Open Data Request filed by the Journal, Cobb County has made public its audio recording of the contentious Jan. 10 Board of Commissioners assembly through which Commissioners Keli Gambrill and JoAnn Birrell had been dismissed from the dais by Chairwoman Lisa Cupid.

The discharge comes after the 2 Republicans disputed the minutes of that assembly, and the integrity of the recording was referred to as into query earlier this week by Gambrill.

Components of the assembly through which the dispute performed out was not captured on the county’s reside video stream.

The related parts start across the 14 minute mark and finish across the 30 minute mark.
