Courteeners Driving To First U.K. Chart Title With ‘St Jude’ Reissue

Fifteen years after its release, Courteeners’ St Jude (via Polydor/UMR), The UK’s first chart crown is in sight.

This book was originally published in 2008. St Jude Peaked at No. 4, on the Official Albums Chart. Three tracks from the album went on to make it into the U.K. Top 40.

Until now, Courteeners’ career U.K. chart peak is No. 2 for 2020’s More. Again. Forever. Thanks to a reissue St JudeCourteeners might go even further. It’s the top title on the Official Chart UpdatePublished Jan. 16.

If it continues to accelerate You can turn the car around Coombes’ first solo top 10, and Supergrass has six Top 10 albums, one of which is a No. Coombes would be the first solo top 10; Supergrass has six top 10 albums, including a No. Cocoa is the Best!.

London rapper Clavish His 28-track debut mixtape, which features 28 tracks, is aiming to make his first appearance in the Top 10 Rap Game: Awful (Polydor). It’s new at No. 4.

Indie rock is another force pushing for Top 10 debuts Circa Waves With Never Go Under (Lower Third), currently on track to a No. 9 start; and veteran Scottish indie-pop band Belle & Sebastian with Developers who are late (Matador), new at No. 10 on the U.K. chart updating.

Finally, George Ezra After receiving multiple nominations last week for the Grammys, the singer/songwriter feels an immediate lift. 2023 BRIT Awards. Ezra is up to the annual ceremony for song of the Year and artist the Year. Gold Rush Kid (Columbia) makes a rush for the top 40; it’s at No. 31 is the chart blast.
