Five potential landing spots for Raiders QB Derek Carr in 2023

Carr was removed from the team following his benching at Pittsburgh’s Raiders Week 16 loss. Backup QB Jarrett Stidham Carr was replaced by Carr in the final two weeks, both losses for Las Vegas.

It was unclear what the team would do in the offseason. Many NFL insiders suggested that Carr would be traded despite his newly signed four-year contract, 2022, which has a no trade clause.

Carr wrote, “It’s difficult to say goodbye, because I can honestly state that I gave everything I had, in season as well as off season,” he said. Although it wasn’t perfect, I do hope I was able give you more than just a few wonderful memories as Raider fans.

Carr didn’t explicitly state that he was waving the no-trade clause, but it seems like there is now a split between them.

He joins a deep list of available quarterbacks that includes upcoming free agents Tom Brady Lamar Jackson.
