James Blake and diptyque celebrate the Rebirth of “Do Son”.

Cult-classic fragrance Brand diptyque teamed up with an award-winning artist to create James Blake To celebrate the Do Son collection.

The unique and evocative fragrance takes its name from the Vietnamese village where Yves Couselant spent his childhood. Do Son is a floral, aquatic fragrance that features notes of tuberose and bright orange blossom. Diptyque hired Werlen Meyer from France to capture the spirit of the 18th anniversary collection.

Couselant blends the past and present with masterful illustrations. They shift from Couselant’s Paris home to vivid recollections about his youthful beach-side adventures to his mother seated in a pagoda. Couselant’s images show him playing a game of chess with his friends. da cau Amongst the larger-than-life seashells. The teacup’s swirling spoon transforms into a school fish around the canoe.

Coueslant reflects on the creation of the fragrance and shares that it was made with his mother. He says, “It was a collaboration with many sharing and listening between us.” I was inspired by the stories of travel and life that were shared with me by the founders at diptyque. Do Son was the result of these conversations.
