Penn State will have a brand new quarterback in the fall. Drew Allar Steps in to succeed Sean Clifford. It would be an understatement to say that the excitement and hype surrounding the highly-acclaimed quarterback is growing rapidly.

BetOnline released its 2023 Heisman Trophy odds, and Allar is firmly on the board as Penn State’s top Heisman Trophy candidate.

North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye is the early favorite according to BetOnline, with last season’s Heisman winner, Caleb Williams of USCHe is just behind him at top of the board. But sitting 10th on the odds board is none other than Penn State’s Allar, who is given 25/1 odds of winning the Heisman Trophy in 2023.

It’s worth noting that Allar is the player with the best odds of winning among Big Ten players for 2023. Expected Ohio State BetOnline offers the best Heisman odds with 20/1 for Kyle McCord as the starting quarterback. McCord will replace C.J. McCord will succeed C.J.

Allar isn’t exactly a longshot given those initial Heisman odds, and quarterbacks do tend to have a leg up in the Heisman discussion. But Allar isn’t the only Nittany Lion on the board either.

Running back Nick Singleton BetOnline odds suggest that it is a more likely possibility. Last season’s leading rusher for the Nittany Lions has 50/1 odds of winning the Heisman Trophy.

Penn State is the proud home of one Heisman Trophy recipient in its history. John Cappelletti was the 1973 winner of this prestigious award.
