Earthquake of magnitude 5.9 strikes Japanese New Guinea area– EMSC

(Reuters) – A magnitude 5.9 earthquake struck Japanese New Guinea area on Saturday, European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) stated.

The quake struck at a depth of 109 km (67 miles) under the Earth’s floor, EMSC stated.
