Married at the First Sight For its 16th season, 10 singles will travel to Nashville, Tenn. to meet their potential love of their lives.

As per usual, the couple will marry someone else, travel to honeymoon, and then live together as husband/wife. After the social experiment of 8 weeks is finished, the newlyweds will have to face the harsh truth about their marital status and move in together as husband and wife. lifeThe decision is life-changing: Stay married and build a future together, or divorce and separate.

Before the premiere of Entertainment Tonight, Married at First Seen’s Kevin Frazier Will host MAFS: Matchmaking Special Dec. 28th, 8 p.m. ET on Lifetime. Viewers will have an exclusive behind-the scenes look at the laborious process involved in matching five Nashville couples.

A second Lifetime special will take place on December 29th. MAFS: Kick-Off Special, Frazier will be discussing and debating the five newly-matched Nashville couples who are about to marry at first sight. A panel of superfans will also be present. They will then make predictions on the Decision Day decisions. Also, former MAFS Friends will be able to share updates on their lives and relationships.

After the premiere of season 16, at 10 p.m. ET on January 4, Keshia Knight Pulliam Will host Afterparty: Married at First SeenShe will be sharing the inside scoop with the cast during the televised interview.

Dr. Pepper Schwartz

Pepper Schwartz is Professor of Socialology at the University of Washington. She earned her B.A. She received her B.A., M.A., Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa and Phi Beta Kappa degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. She also earned her Masters of Philosophy from Yale University and her Ph.D. In Sociology from Yale University. She is currently the Chair of the Institute for Integral Studies’ Advisory Committee for the Ph.D. sexuality studies. She is also Chairperson of the Intimacy and Aging study group at Stanford University’s Center for the Advanced Studies in the Behavioral Sciences as well as a senior fellow and board member of the Council on the Contemporary Family, and the author of 22 books.
