GANNI’s new Bou Bag introduces Ohoskin, a plant-based leather alternative.

GANNI The “Copenhagen way” inspired the launch of its new bag collection.

The Bou bag was named after Ditte, Ditte’s oldest daughter. This latest innovation is made of recycled leather and available in an alternative leather called “Ohoskin”. This plant-based material was developed from the orange and cacti crop waste. It made its debut at the brand’s Fall/Winter 2023 show.

“This bag really embodies what GANNI is all for. We wanted to create something that spoke to modern luxury. In a press release, Refstrup explains that we wanted to design a truly unique bag that still carried the GANNI DNA. It should feel playful, easy to use, yet sophisticated.” A bag that can be carried everywhere. I am also proud to launch this silhouette in a next generation fabric which will bring us closer to becoming completely free of virgin leather by 2023. It’s such an exciting moment for us and I can’t wait to see people make it part of their everyday life,” she continues.

GANNI will continue to phase out virgin leather by 2023. This new bag represents a shift towards even greater sustainability. More The brand is committed to a sustainable future.
