Gauff vs Raducanu in 2nd round

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) — LOOKAHEAD TO WEDNESDAY

Emma Raducanu, Coco Gauff, and Coco Gauff will be competing in the second round at the Australian Open. Gauff, aged 18, is the seventh-seeded American. She reached last year’s final of the French Open. She won the title in Auckland earlier in this month. Raducanu was suffering from a left ankle injury. Since winning the U.S. Open 2021, the 20-year old British player has never advanced past the second round of any Grand Slam event. Mackenzie McDonald, the defending men’s champion, will play Rafael Nadal. Iga Swaitek, the top-ranked woman, continues her title quest with a match against Camila Olsorio
