Georgia TE announces transfer destination
Georgia Bulldogs tight-end Brett Seither will be transferring to Georgia Tech. Seither was one of two Georgia tight ends Arik Gilbert Ryland Goede In the transfer portal in the offseason.
Two years of eligibility is expected for Seither.
The 6-foot-5, 230-pound tight end played special teams and hauled in three catches for 42 yards and a touchdown in Georgia’s 2021 college football season. Seither, who won two national titles while at Georgia, will likely play a bigger role with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets.
Georgia remains stacked at tight end. The Bulldogs will welcome back Brock Bowers, and Oscar Delp in the 2023 college season. Georgia boasts a loaded class of 2023 At the tight end position.
Seither, a freshman, redshirted during the 2019 season. Seither was a freshman at Arkansas State and Murray State.

Seither arrived in Athens as a three-star prospect in 2019 from Clearwater Central Catholic High School. Seither initially committed to Georgia rather than Alabama.
Seither will be eligible for multiple years regardless of where he transfers. He helped provide depth to Georgia’s team during the College Football Playoff when he could have easily entered the transfer portal.
