HFD airlifts injured hiker from Kolowalu Path in Manoa

Jan. 22—An injured hiker on the Kolowalu Path in Manoa was rescued by Honolulu Hearth Division personnel this morning.

At round 11:30 a.m. HFD obtained a name for the injured hiker. A 24-year-old lady had been mountaineering with a companion for greater than an hour when she was injured.

HFD rescue personnel arrived and arrange a touchdown zone for its Air 1 helicopter at Manoa Valley District Park. Floor items and Air 1 situated the hiker, who was then flown to the touchdown zone at round 1:30 p.m.

Honolulu Emergency Medical Companies was on the touchdown zone and took over care of the hiker.
