WASHINGTON (Reuters) – U.S. Home of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy mentioned on Sunday that he’ll meet with President Joe Biden on Wednesday to debate elevating the federal debt ceiling whereas controlling authorities spending, including that Republicans is not going to enable a U.S. debt default.
“I do know the president mentioned he did not wish to have any discussions. However I believe it is essential that our complete authorities is designed to seek out compromise,” McCarthy instructed CBS’ “Face the Nation” program. “I wish to discover a cheap and a accountable means that we will raise the debt ceiling (and) take management of this runaway spending.”
