‘I am so happy with 17-year-old JoJo’
JoJo Siwa is celebrating the second anniversary of her popping out as homosexual.
On Saturday, Jan. 21, the teenager star mirrored on the milestone in an Instagram publish. In January 2021, the then-17-year-old singer shared a photo of herself carrying a T-shirt that learn, “Finest. Homosexual. Cousin. Ever.” The shirt reveal got here a day after Siwa posted footage of herself lip syncing alongside to Girl Gaga’s LGBTQ anthem “Born This Manner,” fueling hypothesis that she was making an announcement about her personal sexuality. Siwa later confirmed that she is homosexual in an interview with Jimmy Fallon, telling the Tonight Present host that “it was a extremely large threat posting” the shirt photograph.
“But when I misplaced every part that I’ve created due to being myself and due to loving who I need to love I do not need it. That is not what I need if I can not love who I need to love,” Siwa continued.
Two years on, the previous Dance Mothers star, now 19, says she’s “so happy with 17-year-old JoJo.” The publish drew help from Siwa’s Dancing With the Stars associate Jenna Johnson — with whom she made historical past as the show’s first same-sex pair — and Full Home star Jodie Sweetin.
Within the two years since she’s come out, Siwa has used her platform to advocate for LGBTQ representation, which has included calling out Sweetin’s former co-star Candace Cameron Bure. In November Bure stated the faith-based community Nice American Household would give attention to “conventional marriage” — as in, between a person and girl — in its tales, a transfer Siwa known as “impolite and hurtful to a complete group of individuals.”
