Reports: Kevin Durant trades to Phoenix Suns in blockbuster 5-player agreement
In a major move Wednesday night, the Brooklyn Nets traded the second All-Star for Jae Crowder. Kevin Durant was acquired by the Phoenix Suns for Jae Crowder and Mikal Bridges. Reports: Russell Westbrook is heading to Jazz and then the Buyout market in a 3-team deal
Russell Westbrook is moving out of Los Angeles. His next destination isn’t yet clear. According to reports, Westbrook was sent Wednesday by the Lakers to Utah Jazz under a three team deal. It is likely that the Jazz will buy his contract. Westbrook would have many suitors on the buyout marketplace if that is the case.
In the deal, the Lakers will also acquire D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley and Jarred Vanderbilt from Minnesota Timberwolves. Russell Westbrook will be sent out to Utah along with Juan Toscano–Anderson, Damian Jones, and a slightly protected 2027 Lakers first round pick. Kyrie Irving traded from Dallas Mavericks
Kyrie Irving got the trade he requested last Monday when the Brooklyn Nets traded him to Dallas. The Mavericks traded Spencer Dinwiddie and Dorian Finney Smith, a first-round draft pick in 2029, and second-round picks 2027 and 2029, to the Nets. They also sent Markieff Morse to the Mavericks. The San Antonio Spurs have traded center Jakob Poeltl for center Khembirch, a move that could see him heading north. The Spurs will also get a 2024 protected first-round draft pick as well as two future second-rounders. according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. Poeltl spent 4 1/2 years in San Antonio, after which he played for the Raptors the first 2 seasons of his professional career.
Reports: Trail Blazers sell Josh Hart to the Knicks for Cam Reddish
Josh Hart is heading to the New York Knicks. Minutes before the Knicks were scheduled to tip off at Moda Center, Wednesday night, the Portland Trail Blazers reached a deal. Portland is trading Hart to the Knicks as forward Cam Reddish (Ryan Arcidiacono), Svi Mykhailiuk, and a future draft pick in the first round) according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
