Jeremy Renner shares video of himself in his hospital bed during recovery from the snowplow accident

Jeremy Renner After a terrifying New Year’s Day snowplow incident on his Reno property, Nevada property, he is now continuing his recovery.
Renner, 52, posted via Instagram Story from his hospital room. He shared a clip of him being taken to a room by a nurse in order to have a medical check-up. The clip was captioned “I wish you all very special nights,” Renner wrote.
PEOPLE was informed by a source close to Renner earlier this week that, while Renner is now on the mend and feeling better, there’s still a long road ahead of him.
“Jeremy is making positive steps,” stated the source. He also echoed a sentiment expressed by Renner’s sister Kym. Kym also told PEOPLE. The Avengers Star was “crushing all progress goals.”

Since Jan. 1, when he was flown to a local medical centre, the actor has been admitted to hospital. According to his rep, the actor suffered “blunt heart trauma and orthotic injuries” and was admitted for emergency surgery on the next day.
Since then, fans famous friends alike — including Evangeline Lilly, Hailee Steinfeld and Chris Hemsworth — have all wished the actor well In his recovery, he was reunited with Lilly at 43 writing on Instagram Renner is “always been a one of the most grounded and real people I have ever met someone in Hollywood.”

PEOPLE has been told by a source that Renner is feeling warm and supported as he undertakes the long journey of healing. The source said, “He is overwhelmed with the showings of love and support.”
Kym told PEOPLE recently that Jeremy is a fighter who doesn’t play around. “He is smashing all the progress goals. We could not feel more positive about what lies ahead.

Renner expressed gratitude via several Instagram posts.
Jan. 3 was the actor’s first update. He posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed to Instagram, and thanked his fans for their support. “Thanks for all your kind words. 🙏. Too messed-up now to type. But I send love to you all.”
Two days later, he posted a video to Instagram Story in which his sister could be seen laughing and massaging her brother’s head. was a “spa moment to lift my spirits.”
On January 6, he uploaded an image to his Instagram Story He was surrounded by hospital staff and a message of thanksgiving. He wrote, “Thank you to the renowned medical ICU staff for starting this journey,” alongside the image. Below the photo were a series prayer emojis.
