Chastain posted a video to her Instagram Stories revealing that she wore a matching mask to her dress all the way to the event, until she reached the red carpet.

One user shared a photo of Chastain wearing her mask on Twitter. caption: “and you know who didn’t get COVID at the Golden Globes?”

The Oscar-winning actor replied, “Phew!”

Last week, Chastain posted an article titled video of her outfit complete with mask along with the caption: “When the mask matches the dress.”

Chastain revealed her reasons for wearing the mask during a red carpet interview, saying it was because she was set to star in Broadway play A Doll’s House: “I’m really excited about that. I’m a little nervous about getting sick but I got my mask … you have to be so careful in the theatre because I don’t want to let my cast down.”

Farrell, Gleeson, and Curtis were unable to attend the Critics Choice Awards because they caught Covid. All three of them were nominated.

Curtis explains how to catch Covid said: “F*** Covid! This cheerleader will not be attending all weekend festivities cheering for her friends and coworkers. Life on life’s terms. I’m glad that there are all these home tests available so that I didn’t go to the [American Film Institute] Spread my germs and eat lunch. Stay safe out there people.”
