Payton might consider this when making his decision. It would be more appealing to join a team that has just lost a late round pick than it would be to join a team with an early-round loss. And if he waits long enough, he could join a team that didn’t have to give up any picks to acquire him.
What happens if Payton decides to switch teams or stays with Fox for another season? Dan Quinn would likely be the favorite.
