Joe Klecko named winner of Maxwell Soccer Membership Legends Award

Former New York Jets nice defensive deal with Joe Klecko was named the winner of the 18th Maxwell Soccer Membership Legends Award offered by Mohegan Pennsylvania, as introduced by Maxwell Soccer Membership Director Mark Wolpert.

The four-time Professional Bowl choice and two-time All-Professional was one of many key figures of the nice “New York Sack Trade” of the Eighties and is a senior finalist for the Professional Soccer Corridor of Fame Class of 2023.

The 1981 Jets, led by Klecko, stays the franchise single-season report holder with 66 sacks, led by Klecko’s 20.5 sacks.

Klecko’s No. 73 was retired by the workforce in 2004 and he grew to become a member of the Jets’ Ring of Honor in 2010 as a part of their inaugural class. In 2019, Klecko was named to the Jets’ All-Time workforce.
