Lisa Marie Presley (Daughter of Elvis) has died at 54 years old

Lisa Marie Presley (singer and songwriter, only child of Elvis Presley and Priscilla Presley) has passed away at 54.

Multiple reports state that Presley had suffered a cardiac arrest and was transported from Calabasas to the hospital.

Tonight, Priscilla, her mother, confirmed the sad news in a statement. “It is with a heavy soul that I must tell you that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie passed away. She was the most loving, strong, and passionate woman I’ve ever met. As we grieve, we ask for your privacy. We are grateful for your prayers and love. “At this point, there will not be any further comment.”

Lisa Marie passed away two days after attending the Golden Globes. Austin Butler won Best Actor, Motion Picture for his role as Elvis. Lisa Marie appeared deeply emotional when the actor thanked Priscilla and Lisa Marie, saying “I love you forever.” He later told reporters that he is “endlessly grateful” to the Presleys for “welcoming me into their family in such a beautiful way.”

Lisa Marie Presley lost her father Elvis Presley when she was nine years of age. She went on to become sole heir to the estate following the deaths in 1979 and 1980 of her grandfather, great-grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She had four kids, Benjamin, Benjamin, and the actor Riley KeoughWith Danny Keough as her first husband, and Harper and Finley, her twin girls with Michael Lockwood. She was briefly married to Michael Jackson in 1994 and Nicholas Cage in 2002.

Tragically, Benjamin, her son, committed suicide in 2020. This loss was something she had previously described as devastating. Writing on instagram shortly after his death she said: “My heart and soul went with you. The depth of the pain is suffocating and bottomless without you every moment of every day.” In her last Instagram post, in August 2022, she shared an essay she had written for People About her grief.
