Man accused of pointing rifle at cops shot, killed, Calhoun police say
Calhoun police mentioned officers shot and killed a person after he pointed a rifle at them Thursday morning.
Calhoun Police Chief Tony Pyle mentioned an officer was driving previous Battlefield Constructing Provide on Freeway 41 heading north when he observed damaged glass on the entrance of the constructing.

Authorities mentioned the officer radioed for backup and entered the constructing, the place he situated a person inside the shop holding a firearm.
When backup arrived, officers tried to speak the suspect into surrendering. Pyle mentioned the suspect continued to carry the rifle, pointing it on the officers.

The officers then fired their weapons and killed the suspect, in response to Pyle.
