MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — Georgia offensive lineman Warren McClendon will put on the variety of his late teammate, Devin Willock, within the Senior Bowl.
McClendon, who gave up his school eligibility to enter the NFL draft, accepted an invite this week to play within the Feb. 4 all-star sport at Cell, Alabama.
Senior Bowl government director Jim Nagy wrote on Twitter that McClendon will put on No. 77 in Willock’s honor after donning No. 70 throughout his three years as a Georgia starter.
McClendon and Willock were both in a vehicle that crashed within the early morning hours of Jan. 15. McClendon sustained solely minor accidents, however Willock was thrown from the car and died the scene.
The motive force of the car, recruiting division worker Chandler LeCroy, additionally was killed. One other college worker was severely injured.
