Space Systems Command selects Meroxa to work on Data Transformation Effort

Meroxa will build a real-time streaming data architecture for event streaming to increase the onboarding speed of U.S. sensor data into the Unified Data Library

SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 13, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — Meroxaa Data Application Platform as a Service, (DAPaaS) announced today that it was selected for a Small Business Innovation and Research (SBIR Phase II contract through AFWERXThe United States Air Force’s program “Autism in the Air Force”, In the amount $1.25M. Meroxa will be able to create a streaming data architecture for real-time events to help advance the integration U.S. and other sensor data into the Unified Data Library. This will enable Meroxa to scale up to meet future mission requirements.

In partnership with U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command Cross Mission Data Branch and Meroxa, Phase II will see Meroxa develop a resilient infrastructure to enable the rapid integration of sensor data into the Department of the Air Force’s data fabric. The successful adaptation of the Meroxa platform allows data producers and users to seamlessly integrate and consume real time data pipelines for space situational awareness.

AFWERX and the Air Force Research Laboratory have joined forces to improve the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR/STTR) process. This includes a quicker proposal to award process, changing the pool for potential applicants, increasing opportunities for small businesses and reducing bureaucratic overhead. The Air Force introduced ‘The Open Topic’ SBIR/STTR programs in 2018. This program expanded the Air Force’s funding of innovation. Meroxa received a contract in May 2022 and has been working to provide innovative capabilities that will strengthen the national defense of The United States.
