Mild day with a few storms tonight, and cooler temperatures this weekend

Around 6 p.m., a line of strong storms is expected to move through the metro area Thursday night.

The line will bring thunder, lightning, and strong wind.

The temperatures will reach the mid-60s by the time the storms pass, but there will be a few showers.

As temperatures drop overnight, we can expect to see more dry weather.

The mountains will receive a good round of snow at high elevations. At 6 inches, the highest elevation, about 6 inches, and at lower elevations, around 1 inch.

The weekend will be sunny and chilly, with temperatures slowly rising next week.

Friday’s temperatures will only warm to the mid-50s and just reach the upper-40s on Saturday.
