Oli Udoh is a good right tackler

Going into the Wild Card matchup against the New York Giants, the Minnesota Vikings will have to start a backup at right tackle for Brian O’Neill.

Oli Udoh was the man expected to be there Sunday. Blake Brandel is likely to be that guy. Vikings activated from injured reserve Saturday afternoon. Even so, don’t be surprised if head coach Kevin O’Connell decides to rotates them out.

Udoh will get lots of play and it is possible to see why he could be good on the outside.

Udoh allowed only four pressures on total 154 pass-blocking snaps in his limited reps. That’s a efficiency rate at 97.4%

It’s never an ideal scenario to have your backup tackle start a playoff game, but the Vikings will be in good hands with Udoh.
