Surrounded by Sacred Ground: The Water of Life
ON SACRED GATER is based on real events from the Dakota Access Pipeline’s 2016 construction through the Standing Rock Reservation. The film features Daniel Mapother (a journalist and military veteran) and Elliot Arquette (an oil company executive), who are on opposing sides of the conflict during the construction of this contentious pipeline. As the story progresses, they take different paths as they encounter one of the most violent protests or confrontations ever witnessed.
