Netflix special celebrating the 30th anniversary of Original Power Rangers stars reunites
Once a Ranger, always Ranger. Three decades after being an afternoon phenomenon, original members remain. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers The cast will reunite for a Netflix scripted special that celebrates the lasting legacy of Haim Saban’s creation.
Walter Emanuel Jones, a Ranger father, tells EW that his family is deep. He also recounts how he got to play Zack, a Black Ranger, thirty years later.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always stars Jones, David Yost (original Blue Ranger Billy), Catherine Sutherland (who became the second Pink Ranger, Kat, in season 3), as well as Steve Cardenas, Karan Ashley, and Johnny Yong Bosch (who joined the show in season 2 as the second Red Ranger, Rocky, Yellow Ranger, Aisha, and Black Ranger, Adam, respectively) — and EW has exclusive first-look video and photos of the stars on set.

For Yost — the longest-running original Ranger, who left the series in 1996 after four seasons and more than 200 episodes — the special is a reunion with all of the returning cast. He says it is special to be reunited with Jones. Yost says that they went through the audition process together, and launched the Power Rangers franchise. Jones calls the reunion “amazing.” It was an incredible experience to be on the sets of. Power Rangers Again after 28 years.”

The special’s team described the new adventure as Rangers coming “face-to-face with a familiar threat of the past.” Their heroes are needed once more in the face of global crises. The legendary motto “Once a Ranger. Always a Ranger” from the franchise inspires them. Once & Always It is important to remind everyone that once you become a Ranger, your are always a member of the Ranger Family and are always welcomed.”

Special features include Barbara Goodson (voice over Rita Repulsa), Richard Horvitz, and Charlie Kersh (voiceover for Alpha 5). Minh is the daughter of Yellow Ranger Trini. Thuy Trang was the one who played Trini. died at 27 in 2001 after being involved in a car accident. We don’t know if there are any additional cast members involved. Or if the special will honor Jason David Frank (Green Ranger Tommy), who was in the original cast. died at 49 by suicide in 2022.)

And for fans eager for new eras of the Power Rangers franchise (which has been reinvented — or, ahem, morphed — more than 20 times), EW can reveal some new details about Power Rangers – Cosmic FuryThe slated to hit Netflix This fall.
Power Rangers’ 30th season is also the first time since 1993 that the entire Ranger squad will be returning for a third season. According to the Hasbro/eOne Team, “Power Rangers – Cosmic Fury The adventures continue Dino Fury: PowerRangersThe group embarks on a journey through outerspace as they unlock new Cosmic power and defend the universe from the return of Lord Zedd.
Cosmic Fury Amelia (Dino Fury Pink Ranger Amelia) will see her suit traded for the Cosmic Fury Red Ranger suits, becoming the first ever full-time female Red Ranger. All Rangers will be wearing new costumes by Sarah Voon as well new morphers, weapons and morphers by Tracey Collings.
