Patriots sign CFL former cornerback to their reserve/future contract in 2023

The New England Patriots announced on Thursday They had signed Rodney Randle, defensive back, to a reserve/future contract for 2023.

Randle played in both the NFL and CFL during his football career. He played in 19 games with the Montréal Alouettes in 2021 and 2022. He had 44 tackles and 11 special team tackles. He also made two interceptions. In 2020, he played in the XFL for the Tampa Bay Vipers. He also spent time with the San Diego Chargers in the NFL in 2019.

Randle spent four seasons at Lamar University, starting in 2015. Randle was part of 41 games played at Lamar University, beginning in 2015. He also had one sack and five interceptions during his 29-game stint.

New England may make an important depth move as they have secondary decisions to make.

This offseason, several players will be free agents, including Myles Bryant, Joejuan Williams, Jonathan Jones, and Myles Bryant. New England is deciding what to do with its free agency. This could make depth important.
