Paul Finebaum asks how Nick Saban would be without Kirby Smart as his DC

Kirby Smart was named the head coach Georgia Bulldogs He won two national titles in 2016 and has since taken the program to new heights. After the Dawgs dominated TCU 65-7 in this year’s national title, many are claiming that UGA has now passed the Crimson Tide as the best college football program, and some even compare Kirby to Nick Saban.

Nick Saban’s record against Kirby at Georgia is now 4-1, with both teams ranked in top five every time. But, there will always be someone to speak up, and this is ESPN college football analyst. Paul Finebaum, who questioned Coach Saban since Kirby’s departure.

Finebaum believes that since Kirby left Tuscaloosa, the Crimson Tide defense has never been the same and even said, “We are seeing a changing of the guard and that matters. This paradigm shift is significant because we now even talk about Nick Saban being better than Nick Saban. He owned this sport, he doesn’t own it anymore.”
