Paul McCartney Celebrates Ringo Starr in Sweet Birthday Tribute
Paul McCartney says it’s Ringo Starr‘s birthday—and he’s gonna have a good time.
McCartney, 81, wished his good friend and bandmate a happy birthday with a sweet social media tribute to The Beatles drummer, who turned 83 on Friday, July 7.
Starr was featured in an Instagram post on McCartney’s page, while the “Maybe I’m Amazed” singer also took the opportunity to celebrate his father’s birthday as well, which happens to fall on the same day.
“Happy Birthday to two of my heroes,” McCartney wrote in his caption. “It’s Ringo and my Dad’s birthday so let’s have a great day to celebrate these two great people.”
The post included two photo slides, one for each of the birthday honorees. The first pic was a sweet snap of Starr posing with a pooch while sitting at the bottom of a flight of stairs.
The next slide was an old black-and-white throwback photo from when McCartney was just a baby, where both of his parents could be seen posing in the photo.
