After federal agents raided Brian Walshe’s Lynn home, police released mugshots.

Lynn police released Tuesday mugshots of Brian Walshe, which were taken in May 2018 after federal agents raided his Lynn house.

Brian Walshe is the husband of missing Cohasset mother Ana WalsheA criminal complaint was filed against me in relation to the purchase and attempted sale of two fake Andy Warhol paintings via eBay.

Walshe pleaded guilty in federal court to wire fraud and other charges related to the fake paintings. He was not sentenced to jail, but had to return the stolen paintings or make restitution. Because of his conviction, he has been in home confinement.

Walshe stole Warhols from a South Korean friend and offered to sell them. Walshe never answered the friend again after he had returned to the U.S. Walshe sold the painting on eBay for $80,000, but the buyer, an owner of a California art gallery, discovered that it was fake.

‘Lacks basic empathy’: Art scam victim of Brian Walshe speaks about his character

Ron Rivlin was the victim of that case. He is the owner and operator of Revolver Gallery in California. This gallery is the largest Andy Warhol gallery.

In dealing with Brian at first, Rivlin said he was “charismatic, articulate, and professional,” and after he delivered fake paintings he was “unreachable” until Rivlin involved Ana and the FBI.

“He would only cooperate when he was forced to,” Rivlin said of Brian.

The art scam case is separate from the investigation into Ana’s disappearance, at which point Walshe has only been charged with misleading investigators.

Search crews have not yet been able to track down Ana’s whereabouts, but items linked to her disappearance were said to be found during a search of a transfer station in PeabodyIncludes a hacksaw and rug believed to contain biological evidence, sources said.

Brian Walshe told police Ana was supposed to take a rideshare to Logan Airport on New Year’s Day to fly to Washington, D.C., where she owns a home. According to police, there is no evidence Ana took a rideshare or boarded any flights.

A Cohasset Police log indicates that Ana’s employer, Tishman Speyer, contacted the police Brian Walshe.
