Russia defence ministry says frigate assessments strike capabilities in Atlantic

MOSCOW (Reuters) – The Russian Defence Ministry stated on Wednesday the frigate Admiral Gorshkov examined its strike capabilities within the western Atlantic Ocean.

In a press release, the ministry stated the frigate had run a pc simulation on hypersonic Zircon missiles.

Zircon missiles have a variety of 900 km (560 miles), and might journey at a number of instances the velocity of sound, making it tough to defend towards them. The assertion didn’t say the frigate had launched a missile.

Tensions between the West and Russia have reached the very best level in years because of the battle in Ukraine.
