Seahawks GM John Schneider reacts to news of Bobby Wagner’s release

On Thursday, some news broke just in time for John Schneider to respond during his weekly radio show on Seattle Sports 710 AM.

The Rams parted ways from their hometown hero and former Seahawks linebacker, Bobby Wagner. Wagner just finished the first season on his five-year contract.

Fans started calling for it immediately. Wagner to return to the Seahawks.

“A Seattle favorite,” Schneider told Dave Wyman and Bob Stelton. “He’s an amazing player, an icon, Hall of Fame player and all that.”

While Wyman and Stelton attempted to probe Schneider further on the possibility of a Wagner reunion, Seattle’s GM was quick to silence the conversation.

“He’s not released yet, he’s not on the waivers, so congratulations to whoever scooped that,” Schneider said. “He’s still technically on their roster so we won’t be able to speak to his agent for a minute or two – which is actually himself . . . so.”

It is so. . . This story is one you should keep an eye on.
