Six Tigers make Perfect Game’s Top 100 Freshmen List

Jay Johnson Back-to-back No. As he begins his second season as skipper of the Bayou, he has signed back-to-back No. Six current freshmen were recently named to Perfect Game’s Top 100 Freshman list.

Some were chosen in the MLB Draft, but they have chosen to skip that selection to attend LSU to try and bring a national title to the most passionate baseball fans in America. Jaden Noot, Paxton Kling, Brady Neal, Gavin Guidry, Chase Shores And Jared Jones All were named to the Top 100 List.

Two right-handed pitchers and two catchers, as well as an outfielder and infielder. All were highly ranked in their respective positions. The 2023 season will begin February 17th against Western Michigan.

Here’s a rundown of each player who made the list.

Jaden Noot, RHP

Jaden Noot was ranked No. 1 right-handed Californian pitcher in the Class 2022. Perfect Game has ranked 8 right-handed pitchers in the entire class. Noot was selected by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 19th round, but he chose to go to LSU.

Paxton Kling, OF

Kling was ranked No. Perfect Game ranked Kling the 6th overall prospect for the 2022 class. 2 player from Pennsylvania. Kling was also predicted to be drafted in 2022 MLB draft. However, he withdrew from the game after Day 1.

Brady Neal, C

Brady Neal was ranked the No. 2 catcher nationally, and the No. Perfect Game. Florida’s number one catcher. The Brewers drafted him in the 17th round, but he chose to go to LSU.

Gavin Guidry, INF

Guidry was No. Guidry was the No.1 ranked player in Louisiana. Perfect Game ranked 13 shortstops in the United States. Guidry will be filling the gap left by [autotag]Cade Doughty[/autotag].

Chase Shores, RHP

Shores was No. The No.1 right-handed pitcher in Texas, Shores was also the No. Perfect Game ranks Shores 23rd in the country as the top prospect. Shores will be a pivotal part of the Tigers’ pitching staff this spring.

Jared Jones (C).

Jared Jones was ranked No. 4 overall catcher, and the No. 47 overall prospect in 2022, the No. Perfect Game lists Jones as the No. 1 catcher in Georgia. Jones is listed on this official roster as a catcher.
