Smartathon Challenge is open to all who want to join it until January 8, 2023

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Dec. 22, 2022 /PRNewswire/ – The “Smart Cities Challenge”, which was launched during the second edition the Global AI Summit, will continue to be open for all those who want to join. January 8, 2023. The Challenge is organized through a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Saudi Data & AI Authority, Royal Commission for Riyadh City, Riyadh Region Municipality.

The Challenge will be conducted virtually and seeks to find innovative solutions to improve urban environments in the Kingdom. It also seeks to identify and reduce visual pollution and to benefit from global and local expertise in data and AI.

The Challenge is designed to encourage and develop talent and capabilities in the fields smart cities, data and AI. It also positions the Kingdom as a leader in the elite group of data-driven economies. Additionally, the Challenge is open to data scientists, AI professionals, and students from all over the world. There are prizes up to “one-million” Saudi riyals.
