Smith, Nwangwu to be played, Dantzler out at the Giants

The injury report for Friday by the Minnesota Vikings demonstrates that they are a healthy team. According to a report by NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, safety Harrison Smith and kick returner Kene Nwangwu will play against the New York Giants but cornerback Cameron Dantzler will miss the game.

Dantzler missed three of the last three games with an ankle injury and personal reasons. He didn’t practice all week due to both issues.

Smith missed last week’s game against the Chicago Bears because of lingering knee pains that he experienced following practice on Friday.

Nwangwu was diagnosed with the dreaded illness that has kept several Vikings out of this season’s games. His kick return ability could be a huge impact on Sunday’s game.
