The former Patriots exec rocked it on his first day with the Cardinals

Monti, the new general manager of Arizona Cardinals, has been hired Ossenfort, a former director of college scouting for the New England Patriots, was a wrecking ball at his Tuesday introductory press conference.

And that isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

After the firing of Kliff Kingsbury, the Cardinals could use some help. After a disastrous postseason against the Los Angeles Rams in the wildcard round, the Cardinals didn’t make it to the playoffs and were last with a 4-13 record for the NFC West division.

There’s hope now that Ossenfort can step in and make the immediate changes necessary to help get the team back on track.

Talks have started about a Cardinals All-Pro wideout DeAndre Hopkins potentially being on the trade block.

Ossenfort’s connection to the Patriots could prove to be a major deal as they are likely in the market for a receiver upgrade of elite quality.
