Joe Buck is a divisive radio host.

He has just turned some Buccaneers supporters against him.

During Monday’s wild card game between Tampa Bay (Texas Cowboys) and Dallas Cowboys, the ESPN announcer made a snide comment about Tom Brady.

The Cowboys led 6-0 in the second quarter. The Buccaneers had a chance to gain a lead at the Dallas 5-yard-line with second-and goal. Tom Brady instead threw an intercept. Brady snapped his shotgun, faked Rachaad White’s handoff, and then looked in the middle.

Brady floated the ball to the back end of the goal zone with two Cowboys pass rushers. He didn’t throw it enough. Safety for cowboys Jayron Kearse It was his turn to seize it and make sure that the interception is complete.

The pick ended a Bucs 14-play, 70 yard drive that resulted in zero points. It was Brady’s first red-zone interception since 2019, and his first as a Buccaneer. It broke the NFL record of 410 red-zone attempts without an intercept. We know that because Buck told us — after the interception, and before it.

Buck moments before the Bucs entered the red zone.

“Inside the red zone — that’s where they are, that’s why the fire the cannons and that’s where Tom Brady just simply does not turn the ball over.”

Buck’s comment was accompanied with a graphic that showed Brady had previously accounted to for 86 passing touchdowns, seven running touchdowns, and zero interceptions within the red zone since joining Bucs in 2020.

Brady turned it over again. It happened with Tampa Bay’s season at stake.
