Two new partners are named by Weiss & Company LLP
Weiss & Company LLP: Katherine Chung & Jeremy Morgan
GLENVIEW, Ill., Jan. 12, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Weiss & Company LLP has announced that senior managers Katherine Chung Jeremy Morgan Associates were promoted to.

Chung joined Weiss as a senior tax manger in 2019. She has more than 20 years experience in the field. Chung works closely with clients from diverse industries such as manufacturing, retail, distribution and real estate. Her expertise includes compliance and federal, state and international tax planning for closely held small- to medium-sized businesses that are taxed both as pass-through entities or C corporations. She is also a close collaborator with individuals of high net worth.
Chung is a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the Illinois CPA Society. She also holds a Master of Science degree in taxation from Northern Illinois University. Chung has enjoyed the complexity and challenges that come with being a tax specialist all her life. She stated that every client is different and that understanding and adapting to their needs, finding solutions and seeing the positive effect they can have gives her a sense of purpose.
As a partner, she hopes that she can continue to work with this sense of purpose. She said, “I appreciate the support and opportunity. I see this as an opportunity for me to return what I have learned to help develop the next generation leaders and contribute to growth and success of the firm.” Being a partner means less to me. It’s about showing a true servant leadership spirit towards clients and staff.
Chung, a Glenview resident, enjoys hand knitting, outdoor activities, and relaxing with a cup of coffee. She said that her family and friends are important to her and that her children inspire and motivate me every day to do my best.
Morgan joined Weiss in Oct 2010 as an auditor. Morgan joined Weiss in October 2010 as an auditor. He has since expanded to provide comprehensive solutions for his clients, including consulting, assurance, and tax services. He has worked with clients from many industries including manufacturing, distribution and retail, healthcare, nonprofit, printing as well as professional practices, service businesses, common interest realty association, and technology companies.

Morgan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (Illinois CPA Society) and Morgan earned his BS in Accounting from Northern Illinois University.
