What is USC getting in 4-star offensive lineman Manasse Itete?

Lincoln Riley and the University of Southern California have landed one of the top offensive linemen in the country. 2024 All-American Manasse Itete from Central Catholic High School in Modesto (Calif.) has committed to the Trojans.

The 6-foot-4.5, 289-pounder is the No. 28 player in California,  No. 345 overall prospect and No. 24 offensive tackle in the 2024 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking.

Iete on the Trojans:

“I don’t want to go somewhere where they just care about you because you’re a football player,” Itete previously told On3‘s Chad Simmons in May. “I want to go somewhere that people care about you, first of all, because you’re a human being. They want you to get better, they want you to be successful, they support you on and off the field. That’s the most important thing for me.”

Itete is a run-first, power-based guard who can generate movement off the ball, but lacks the balance and bend to be a consistent block sustainer. He could start his career as a backup as he gets more technical and polished over time, but he has the size, frame and ability to become an eventual starter and an all-conference level player or the Trojans in the Big Ten Conference.
