The sandwich is “très chic,” as Emily would say.

Netflix finally dropped the long-awaited 3rd season of The Walking Dead in December. Emily in ParisIt’s just as stunning as ever. Episode 1 is jam-packed full of heartbreak, a existential career crisis and a jazzy rendition of “J’ai Deux Amours.” The most memorable moment? Emily McDonald’s.

That’s right. Emily in Paris McDonald’s is the collaboration we never knew we wanted… and it exists now, I guess. But rather than showing sweet, beret-wearing Lily Collins taking a neat bite out of the most flawless Big Mac imaginable — as is the standard for most random product placements — the global fast food chain is woven into the plot itself. The same treat she enjoys at the restaurant is now available in real life.

Before we explain how to get one, however, let’s first tell you about this exciting plot.

:

Doug, Emily’s ex-boyfriend, calls to inform her that he has become a global executive at McDonald’s. He’s happy to share the good news that McDonald’s is searching for a French-based marketing agency to launch their McBaguette. Sylvie, her boss, is also looking for a “sexy new client” in the luxury sector to help her launch her new agency.

Sylvie hesitates to be a partner with McDonald’s first. “McDonald’s,” “sexy,” and “McDonald’s,” are two words that aren’t often used together. Emily is determined, however, to prove her wrong. She decides to go with her on-again, off-again boyfriend, Gabriel, to McDonald’s for lunch (as one would). To her surprise, she’s greeted with bright cases full of macarons and canelés, posh twenty-somethings confidently ordering off a screen, and somehow, an open kitchen.

Gabriel tells them that McDonald’s is “un petit plaisir”, which translates to a little treat. “Or, a little.” luxuryEmily replies with a wink. With that tagline, Emily pitches Sylvie. The McDonald’s deal with McDonald’s is broken during a chaotic client dinner at Eiffel Tower. For the remainder of the season, the McBaguette will not be mentioned. C’est la vie!

But don’t fret. But don’t worry.

McDonald’s France will offer a limited-time McDonald’s French deal a special meal in partnership The release of Emily in Paris Season 3. It includes french fries, two macarons and a medium-sized beverage.

The McBaguette was first introduced at McDonald’s French locations in 2012. It has been reintroduced occasionally over the past decade. Two burger patties are stuffed into the baguette, along with two slices of Emmental cheese, lettuce and French mustard. It’s not the only one that offers unique international McDonald’s food options. Fast food fans can travel to other countries and grab delicious fast food like hunks of Parmesan in Italy Or grab a piece of this deliciously beloved “pocket cheese”, Ham N’ Egg Twisty Pasta Hong Kong Poutine Canada and the USA are both available. The McBaguette is currently only available in France. Maybe it’s worth getting an Emily to move to Paris for a little luxury.
